From July 11 the 21st Hamazkayin Student Cultural Forum that creates healthy and educational environment and leads to the identity and values for students coming from different communities of Diaspora started. Participants are from the Armenian communities of Diaspora in the US, Canada, Australia, Lebanon, Syria, France, Georgia, as well as from Armenia and Artsakh.
On July 17 the group visited Yerevan State University where the rector of YSU represented information about the University to the students and many of them were interested in teaching programs. Then the participants of the forum visited Institute for Armenian Studies of YSU and got acquainted with its scientific activities. The deputy director of IAS, Mher Hovhannisyan, represented not only the history and activities of the Institute but also spoke about the educational programs and opportunities given to the students from Diaspora. Accompanied by Mher Hovhannisyan, the group also visited YSU History Museum, gratitude alley dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide where the busts of famous foreign figures who criticized the tragedy of the 20th century, saved many Armenians from the clutches of death are.
